The NEW Voice network is a linked repeater system covering the counties of Northeast Wisconsin. With hubs in Wausau and Suring, the NEWVoice network provides UHF amateur radio coverage for the counties of Marathon, Wood, Portage, Waupaca, Brown, Shawano, Langlade, Menominee, Lincoln, Oneida, Vilas, Forest, Florence, Marinette, and Oconto. Currently nine sites are online with four more to follow.
The purpose of the NEW Voice network is to provide contiguous repeater coverage for the Wisconsin ARES/RACES Northeast District. While designed for ARES/RACES emergency communication, the system is open and available to all amateur radio operators.
Nets on the NEW Voice network are the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 8:00pm local time.
